When is search applied?
Our success lies in the fact that it is often most expedient to use an active search of a candidate. This is carried out as a targeted effort, that is completely anonymous as the suitable candidate may be working in a competing company and is successful in his/her job. When appointing persons to specialized jobs, search is almost the only effective tool. Our working method is very discreet and characterised by confidentiality and consideration.

Job analysis and profile
In connection with the first assignment for a new customer our cooperation starts with a thorough briefing about the company’s history and background, organisation, structure, corporate culture and services as well as performance related key figures. In connection with assignments for a well-known customer we only obtain detailed information about the specific job and the formal requisite qualifications and demands to a candidate are made more specific.
 
Search strategy, search and contact
We make an analysis and find the lines of businesses and companies in which we may find suitable candidates. Potential candidates from birch & company a/s´ network will be contacted, and our candidate index is reviewed. Selected candidates will be contacted in preparation for an interview at birch & company a/s.
 
Selection
In-depth interview (subsequent interview if required) including test at birch & company a/s.
 
Introduction and application
For suitable candidates (typically 3) an introduction is prepared which will be studied with the customer. We agree on date and time for an interview with the customer, and subsequently birch & company a/s will invite the candidate. Following the interview birch & company a/s contact the candidate to enquire about his/her opinion of the meeting. If necessary the best suited candidates will be invited for a second interview with the customer.
 
Assessment incl. references
Together with the customer we evaluate the interviewed candidates and select the most qualified, or those most qualified. birch & company a/s will obtain the relevant references on the candidates. When nominating the ultimate candidate, birch & company a/s acts as a sparring partner in the decision-making process.
 
Completion
As soon as a candidate from the search process is chosen, all candidates will be informed by birch & company a/s.
 
Follow-up
birch & company a/s will conduct follow-up interviews with the new appointee and his/her closest manager.
